ABOUT OPEN STUDIOS
East Yorkshire Open Studios is an annual showcase of visual arts; extending across the region from Bridlington, Driffield & Pocklington to Beverley, Hull & all the many villages in between.
This year we had 66 entrants: individual artists, some sharing studio spaces, artist groups, pop up spaces and established galleries - all showing work across East Yorkshire during the weekends 21st/22nd & 28th/29 September.
We had new locations to visit - Stamford Bridge, Bishop Wilton, Holme on Spalding Moor, Burton Pidsea and Gilberdyke. And a diverse range of media on display including ceramics, painting, jewellery and silverware, photography, printmaking, embroidery, textiles, sculpture and glass.
Each year Open Studios is great opportunity to explore creative East Yorkshire, see behind the scenes, meet the artists and discuss their techniques and inspiration. It gives visitors the opportunity to view or purchase artwork created locally, often inspired by the beauty and diversity of the East Yorkshire landscape. And gives artists the opportunity to share their creative passion.
We hope you enjoyed Open Studios 2019 and look forward to welcoming new and returning artists and visitors to Open Studios 2020.
